Ecosa Artifacts

Ecosa Artifacts are highly crafted and beautifully designed products that support environmental and social responsibility. Originally conceived as a means for supporting the work of the Ecosa Institute, Ecosa Artifacts has the potential to also support the creative success of Ecosa students. Beginning in the Fall of 2011, Ecosa students who have an interest in product design will have the opportunity to submit a design to Ecosa Artifacts. Product designs that are approved will be sold in the Ecosa Artifacts catalog and the designer will receive a fair commission on each sale.

ARTIFACTS STANDARDS

In order to become an Ecosa Artifact, a product must include an environmental impact statement that openly addresses the following:

Made in safe, healthy & humane conditions

Fair wages paid to all associated laborers
Fully or partially recycled material usage
Non-toxic

Made in the USA with local materials
Energy & Materials Information for entire Life-Cycle
Distribution impact including packaging and shipping
