Alumni Update: Asha Stout

Asha Stout
Since I attended the Ecosa pilot summer program in Sustainable Materials and Methods in 2004, I have continued to work as an activist for sustainably motivated housing retrofits. As a property owner, I have been developing a permaculture property in Prescott's barrio neighborhood. I went on to graduate from Prescott College's Residential Degree Program in '08 with a Competence in Sustainability Studies and a Breadth in Experiential Education. In my professional life, I am in my 3rd year leading AmeriCorps crews with the Rocky Mountain Youth Corps in Taos, NM.

True to my passion for environmental responsibility, I have led chain saw crews in sustainable forestry management, trail crews that promote remote wilderness exposure, and now weatherization crews that promote residential energy conservation. The training and experience I received as a student at the Ecosa Institute have set me up for success in this difficult job market.
